La banda municipal y el recién formado ensamble deleitaron al público con un variado repertorio para finalizar sus actividades del 2007. La banda además anunció la pronta grabación de un CD.
Villancicos, música contemporánea e incluso cumbias de fin de año fueron interpretadas por la Banda Instrumental Municipal de Salamanca, en tanto que el Ensamble Vocal Juvenil formado hace tan sólo tres meses gracias a un proyecto con fondos del Gobierno Regional impresionó con la interpretación de conocidas canciones de Navidad.
La actividad realizada en el Centro Cultural Estación contó con un público participativo que disfrutó el espectáculo. “Fue una presentación hermosa, había visto a la banda, pero no al coro...me gustaría que siguieran creciendo y haciendo nuevas cosas” comentó la señora Isabel, asistente a la gala.
Por su parte, Evelyn Paz, quien tuvo la oportunidad de lucirse como voz solista del Ensamble, explicó que “ha sido una experiencia bonita, un poco cansadora, pero vale la pena porque es lo que me gusta...estaba nerviosa porque dentro del repertorio tenía cierta carga, pero gracias a Dios salió bien”.
Francisco Vicencio, Director de ambas agrupaciones destacó que “todos los salamanquinos debemos estar orgullosos porque estos jóvenes están llevando a cabo una actividad noble...vemos que los niños además de tocar bien, también tienen una nueva sensibilidad con respecto a muchas otras instancias, son más concientes, han tenido un crecimiento personal”.
“Para marzo del 2008 queremos tener un CD para que la gente que no conoce el proyecto o quienes no pueden venir a ver las presentaciones puedan tener música instrumental en casa y disfrutarla...ojalá que esta banda se sienta no sólo de Salamanca y la provincia, sino de la región o el país porque hemos tenido presentaciones con otras bandas y la nuestra está en un nivel superior a otras...como dijo el Intendente Cifuentes este es el último rincón de la cuarta región pero la música está presente y en forma seria”, finalizó el Director.
